those few...

There are a few, those brave few, who see adversity and stand up, who volunteer for the unknown, who say, "Send me, I will go." Those few. In peace, in war, in need of healing, those who seek to defend principles of which most cannot fathom. Those few that embolden and empower lesser men through duty and sacrifice. Those exalted few, covered in uniform and risk. Those few harbingers of liberty. From the cockpit to the combat outpost, from the mess hall to the maintenance shed. Amidst sand, jungle, and seawater. Those few. Those heroes. God bless America as those few save the republic.
